Close

A co-living concept for the third age which spans over 10 mews houses on Archery Close, West London.

Third Age

Active seniors who are looking to downsize or simply to live centrally, within a safe and comfortable community. We have a new type of ageing population with many individuals remaining broadly unaffected by health and mobility problems. This can be described as an extended middle age or, in this case, the third age.

There is a vast gap in the market for this demographic and yet many design opportunities to explore. The space was designed with the principles of universal design in mind, which simply put is undetectable accessibility for all. Your home should be a constant reminder of your possibilities and abilities rather than your limitations

“A space that allows people to pursue the pleasures of life today, while feeling secure that their home can adapt to their future needs.”

At the core of the street, you will find a shared communal building called the Public House or ‘Pub’ for short. This is a space where residents can gather to socialise, nurture their passions or hobbies, relax or have a drink.

The first house on the mews is reserved for guest stays that will be run in an Airbnb style for visiting family and friends who wish to stay nearby during their stay.

There are twelve private residences that spread over six units. These are flats for long term stays with generous maneuvering space. A wellness center at the end of the street where residents can come to exercise, meditate or book at- home treatments should the need arise.
